I seem to recall we discussed this:
http://www.sciencealert.com/humans-couldn-t-even-see-the-colour-blue-until-modern-times-research-suggests
or am I imagining we did?
Regardless, an interesting concept to ponder - and also how it applies to so many other areas of our lives.
Happy summer everyone!

Amazing maps!
I came across this site and was blown away both by the premise and by the result.
Enjoy! https://www.mapbox.com/blog/ geotaggers-world-atlas/

Remembering Installation Day
This is a 'silent' movie. I may get around to some sound adventures eventually.
This one's for Shelley
A little tip on how to unlock the Code as described to me during our day sitting the gallery. This is by no means perfect. In fact the timing of last text needs to be revised to last longer.

Cave of Forgotten Dreams by Werner Herzog
Hi everyone. I just watched the film Cave of Forgotten Dreams by Werner Herzog. If you want to visit the inside of Chauvet caves, this is a real treat. So much information. I couldn't stop taking notes. Anyway it's on youTube. Easy to find with Google. It was on TVO. Check it out.

Not Loopy Yet
My video/slideshow is 95% finished but I have run into a roadblock re looping. The "video" is in a Quicktime movie format that plays nicely on my iPhone 4S and transfers to my newly purchased TV. I have looked for an app that will loop videos and found only one: viloop. It does not recognize my movie as a video and will not play it or even admit that it exists on my iPhone. One of my video friends told me that her videos will loop on her iPod touch simply by putting it on a playlist on iTunes. I tried that on my iPhone and the phone said it would loop but when the video ended it just stopped and went back to the screen that started the process and stayed there; i.e. no looping.
Any suggestions?

IMPORTANT NOTE: How to tell if your IMAGES WILL PRINT PROPERLY
Good morning!
Many of you are emailing images that are not sized properly for print.
The resolution for printing is different than the resolution for an on screen image.
What might look perfect on your computer, may print fuzzy in the catalog.
Here is how you can check to see if your images are 'big enough':
Please make sure to send images at minimum 150dpi. If you are not sure, please check with someone who can help you.
Thanks!

Here is how you can check to see if your images are 'big enough':
- View your image at full size - 100%.
- Then view your image at 200%. If the 200% image is fuzzy, then your image will print fuzzy.
Please make sure to send images at minimum 150dpi. If you are not sure, please check with someone who can help you.

REMINDER ABOUT FORMAT for providing catalog information
Hello everyone!
I am back from Nicaragua and just sorting through many emails.
AS A REMINDER, please remember to send me your Artist Statements as 'Word' documents, with the extensions .doc or .docx.
If you do not have Word, then please simply put the information in the body of the email and I will block and copy it into a Word document. (Note: "Pages" is not a Word program.)
Also, please be certain to give me the full spelling of your name, how you want it to appear in the catalog as well as the title of your project, if you want that included in the catalog.
See you all on Wednesday.
