Perception of Colour

I seem to recall we discussed this:
http://www.sciencealert.com/humans-couldn-t-even-see-the-colour-blue-until-modern-times-research-suggests

or am I imagining we did?

Regardless, an interesting concept to ponder - and also how it applies to so many other areas of our lives.

Happy summer everyone!

Remembering Installation Day

This is a 'silent' movie. I may get around to some sound adventures eventually.

This one's for Shelley

A little tip on how to unlock the Code as described to me during our day sitting the gallery. This is by no means perfect. In fact the timing of last text needs to be revised to last longer.

Cave of Forgotten Dreams by Werner Herzog

Hi everyone. I just watched the film Cave of Forgotten Dreams by Werner Herzog. If you want to visit the inside of Chauvet caves, this is a real treat. So much information. I couldn't stop taking notes. Anyway it's on youTube. Easy to find with Google. It was on TVO. Check it out.

Inspirations from V Jane

Inspirations from V Jane COLLECTED DURING MASTERCLASS 2015,DVSA

“Invent your world”
“pull out the difference with what you have got”, ask yourself what is left?”
“Let your mind think about what you want to say”….journal it.
“interpreting the mark making”
"mark making”
“data collecting”
“take risks”
“change scale”
“point to the real”
“make emotional inquiry” work it out in thumbnail
“what is your central position”
“create a vocabulary of images , honour your own mark making”

“save your painting even the ones you don't like, one day you might see it and know exactly what tot do. The work is already ahead of you”
"if you don't know where to begin start in the middle"
